What it does

Near the end of the night the app announces the Mortician’s instruction: look at one neighbour’s card, at both, at the left one, at the right one, or at your own. The Mortician may look accordingly.

Rules and edge cases

  • The Mortician wins if either neighbour dies, whether or not the Mortician survives.
  • He looks after every card has moved, so what he sees is final.
  • He plays for himself, and wins or loses apart from every team.

How to play it

  • You need a neighbour voted out, and you have probably seen one of their cards. If it is a wolf, the truth is your best weapon. If not, you need a better lie.

When it is in the deck

  • A Mortician’s accusation of a neighbour is always in his own interest. Ask what the announced instruction let him see.

If the Doppelgänger copies it

A Doppelgänger who looks at this card becomes a second Mortician. She wakes again on her own, right after the original.

Around it

Wakes just before it: Blob.
