What it does

The Squire wakes near the end of the night and is shown which players hold a werewolf card at that moment.

Rules and edge cases

  • He wins with the Werewolves, like the Minion, and is not a werewolf himself.
  • He sees the final layout: a wolf card that was robbed or swapped shows in front of its new player.
  • With no werewolf among the players, the Squire wins if another player dies and he survives.

How to play it

  • You know better than the wolves who the wolves are now. Steer the vote away from the players who actually hold the cards.

When it is in the deck

  • A player who defends someone the wolves themselves seem unsure about may be the Squire, who saw where the card ended up.

If the Doppelgänger copies it

A Doppelgänger who looks at this card becomes a second Squire. She wakes again on her own, right after the original.

Around it

Wakes just before it: Insomniac. Wakes just after it: Beholder.
